City Planning, along with Councillor Josh Matlow and groups like SERRA have spent the last few years crafting a comprehensive and detailed new planning blueprint, including all the SERRA neighbourhoods.

LAND-USE AND BUILT FORM
(what can be build and where)
– Residential, office and retail

INFRASTRUCTURE
(enough pipes and wires?)

COMMUNITY SERVICES
(schools, recreation centres, daycare, libraries, social and cultural services)
PUBLIC REALM
– parks, open spaces, streetscapes

MOBILITY / TRANSPORTATION

HERITAGE
(recognizing our past)

The new plan recognizes 23 distinct character areas
(but with no changes planned to residential low-rise neighbourhoods).
